Midwest MonsterCon was created to bring the ultimate horror experience to Minot, North Dakota. Our mission is to unite fans of all things spooky and macabre for a day of eerie excitement, engaging panels, unique vendors, and unforgettable memories.

Quale was a master surgeon, but he was completely insane. As an intern at Willows County Mental Hospital, he used his role to take his sadism out on inmates in the form of surgical torture and brain operations. His goal was to turn the inmates into a race of superhumans, but in the end they found his plans. Quale, who later became known to the press because of his cruel experiments as Dr. Satan, was caught by some villagers, dragged into the forest, sentenced to death in vigilante justice, and hung from a tree.
The next day, however, Dr. Satan's corpse disappeared, so that this curiosity became something of an urban legend of the region. In fact, Dr. Satan was still alive. The exact circumstances are unclear, but he continued his experiments in an underground cave system below the Firefly's farm. Every year on Halloween the Fireflys let down some victims through a well, on which Satan experimented from then on in order to make them superhumans; the successful experiments stayed with him as his henchmen. The failed experiments, which survived, remained in the cave system and lived there from then on.

The VIP ticket experience
A limited number of VIP tickets will be available, offering exclusive perks for attendees! VIPs will enjoy a special Friday night screening of the 80's Cult Classic Microwave Massacre, with an intro hosted by Craig Muckler. The second feature of the evening will be Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, with an intro with Walter Phelan. Additionally, VIP ticket holders will receive early access to the convention, entering 30 minutes before general admission and a free popcorn. Bring a drink and enjoy the movies! Don’t miss this chance for a premium horror experience! *No alcohol allowed and this event is only for 18 years or older.

How do I purchase tickets?Tickets are available both online and at the door. IMPORTANT: Please note that there is no “add to cart” option—each ticket level must be purchased separately. Use the payment link below and be sure to save your receipt to present at the entrance. General admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6–12, and free for children under 6. A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for $30 on a first-come, first-served basis. Once VIP tickets sell out, they will no longer be available through the link. Photos with Dr. Satan (in full costume) can be purchased directly at Walter Phelan’s table.

Are kids allowed at the event?Yes, kids are allowed at the event. However, please note that this is a horror/macabre/halloween event. If you feel your kids might not enjoy the event, it's advisable to keep them at home.

Can I dress up in costume?Yes, you can dress up in costume! We encourage it. We also have costume contests for both homemade and store-bought costumes.

How can I donate to the giveaway gift baskets for the contest winners at the convention?We gladly accept new or used Halloween, horror, or macabre-themed items for consideration in our giveaway gift baskets. How do I get my tickets once purchased online?Save your receipt from your online purchase and present at the door. For VIP ticket holders we will have your name on a list on Friday for the movie screening and Q&A.
